For wildlife, start with Sepilok, the Kinabatangan, Deramakot, Tabin or Danum Valley. For a physical challenge, Mount Kinabalu, Mount Trus Madi, Maliau Basin and Kinabalu Geopark will test you in different ways. And for something further off the beaten track, Orou Sapulot and Batang Ai reach parts of Borneo most visitors never see.
